IMPORTANT THANKSGIVING 2025 UPDATE
THANKSGIVING 2025
This year, our focus is shifting and here’s why. As we prepared for our Thanksgiving Outreach, we took a close look at the needs in our community and the resources we have as a nonprofit. This includes our funding, our donated items, and most importantly, our volunteers. With many programs happening at once, it’s important for me as the Director to use our resources in the smartest and most impactful way, without burning out our Purple Power team.
We want every hour volunteered and every dollar donated to make the biggest difference possible. And this year, that means reaching a group of people who are often overlooked.
This Thanksgiving, Angels Community Outreach will be prioritizing:
The Working Poor- Families who are working, sometimes more than one job, but still struggling to make ends meet.
Many of these families:
• Do not qualify for food stamps
• Earn just slightly above assistance guidelines
• Are not eligible for many holiday programs
• Are often embarrassed to ask for help
These families deserve a Thanksgiving meal, a moment of stability, and the reminder that they are not alone.
OPENINGS FOR WORKING FAMILIES IN NEED![]()
We have about 12 more openings available for working families who need Thanksgiving help.
This will NOT be a pre-packed box. Instead, you will be able to walk through our pantry like a grocery store and pick out the items your family enjoys for Thanksgiving. This will take place on Sat Nov 22. And you MUST be registered.
If you fit this description and need help, please email so we can get you signed up.

We Are Still Providing Cooked Thanksgiving Meals (ALL SLOTS FILLED FOR COOKED MEALS)
We are partnering with a local Domestic Violence Shelter to deliver fully cooked, ready-to-heat meals to survivors and families living in motels or temporary housing with no way to cook a holiday meal.
We will also be delivering cooked meals to senior citizens and veterans who are alone or unable to cook.
A warm meal and a caring visit can truly brighten someone’s Thanksgiving.
BAM! TEAMWORK!
