I am going to say with THAT SMILE, he is one happy little boy! He took his shoes off that he was wearing and put these right on his feet! His smile when he saw the shoes made my day.

THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT… that feeling you can give someone with a simple act of kindness. He told me he CAN’T WAIT to go to school in his new shoes.

Something as simple as a pair shoes can build such confidence. This young man waited and waited for these shoes. He picked them out at our Back to School Event but unfortunately the store sensor was never removed from the shoe. It took us several tries at different stores to get it removed. BIG THANK YOU to my volunteer Marge that ran around to get the sensor removed. -Elissa
