She thought no one would remember her…..

She thought no one would remember her… Your donations at work! I showed up to the house of 81 year old Verna yesterday. I knocked and the door opened a tiny crack. I reminded her who I was and that I had food to share with her. She opened the door and began to cry. She said.. “I was so worried no one would remember me”. In this time of need, I know we are all concerned and running around to make sure we have food and necessities for ourselves and immediate family. BUT please take a moment to be kind. I know many are out of work and paychecks will not be flowing in as usual. Spending or donating at this time might be worrisome. Here are my thoughts…. If each person donated $5 or one food item that would not be a drastic strain on our pockets. HOWEVER it would be a DRASTIC GAIN in donations. One or two items per person can add up to big results!

MY PLAN is to continue to provide help, food and toiletries to the elderly, children, families, pets and those individuals in need. As long as we are allowed to be open Angels Community Outreach will do another EMERGENCY FOOD DISTRIBUTION next week. BUT to do this I need food/toiletry donations. If you are headed out shopping to stock your cupboards please consider picking up an item or two for someone in need. Many can not afford the resources to prepare during the Coronavirus outbreak.
