Harvest Project 2024
The Harvest Project: Cultivating Community Wellness π± π π
π« . Seeking 50 individuals/families to participate. I got this idea because of a Veteran I used to visit, his name was Dean. He and his wife had moved into a house and out of an apartment. When I had visited them at their new house, he was so excited about planting tomatoes and peppers that summer. Unfortunately, he passed away before he was able to plant anything.
I thought the Harvest Project would be kind of coolβ¦ fulfilling Deanβs wish and helping individuals/families in need.
BAM! We are excited to announce our Harvest Bucket Project! Angels Community Outreach will be teaming up with Mantua Home Depot and Duffields Farm Market to Cultivate Community Wellness π±.
This initiative will empower low-income families! We will be providing 2 buckets per family (families must apply). They will come and fill their buckets with soil and a tomato plant in one bucket and a pepper plant in the 2nd. This will allow them to grow their own tomatoes and peppers for a vibrant and nutritious summer harvest!
Angels Community Outreach WILL ALSO HAVE 24 Harvest Buckets on our property so we can give out the produce during our weekly food distributions. If you have a green thumb and would like to help us maintain the Harvest Buckets at Angels Community Outreach let us know.
If you are a person, senior or family in need and would like to apply to participate in the Harvest Bucket Project please CLICK HERE to fill out the form. We will pick 50 families/people to participate this year.
